Warm, sunny weather drew the people of Halton Hills out of hiding and down to the Robert C. Austin Public Works Yard on Trafalgar Road for the Town of Halton Hills' annual Earth Day Celebration. Since Earth Day fell on Good Friday this year, the Town celebrated the following week, on April 30. Residents dropped by the Public Works Yard where they dropped off electronic waste and hazardous materials, picked up compost and woodchips, bought trees, enjoyed a delicious barbecue and checked out the Town's many cool trucks, plows and road equipment.
