2 Student Excellence Thursday, May 26, 2011 Celebrating excellence Pamela Kitching Brookville Pamela is a dedicated Grade 8 student and member of Student Forum Executive, which provides the voice of students in the school and at School Council meetings. She is a member of the volleyball, basketball teams, as well as coaching the junior teams. Pamela has maintained a strong academic focus while being involved in numerous activities, teams and clubs always demonstrating strong leadership and citizenship. Nicholas Klobucar George Kennedy Nicholas exemplifies many of the fine qualities that are important to George Kennedy Public School. Nick is a respected Grade 5 student who always offers positive support and encouragement to students and staff, and who leads his peers both in the classroom and in less structured settings. Nick is a conscientious, diligent student, a member of the choir, drama club, Silver Birch, boy's volleyball and is a student lunch monitor. She is a mature student who treats others with respect, has a very positive attitude and always has a smile on her face. As the Co-President of Student Leaders, Stephanie helps to lead the school into important initiatives that impact the school community and other charities both local and global. Emily Vandenberg Glen Williams Emily, a Grade 5 student, has demonstrated exemplary effort, attitude and academic achievement. She demonstrates all the components of the Tribes agreements and treats everyone with respect and courtesy. Emily has participated in Choir, Eco club, Track and Field, Office and Milk helpers, Snow elves, and the Art club. Anja Vesterback Gardiner Public School Anja is a top academic Grade 8 student at Gardiner and has also been identified as a leader amongst her peers, being selected Captain of the senior girl's volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams. In addition to her athletic and extracurricular pursuits, Anja has garnered the respect and admiration of her peers and teachers for her insightful ideas, her clever sense of humour, and her reliability. She is always willing and eager to get involved, lend a hand, be a cheerleader for a friend, or help out a teacher. Katie Allahmoradi Harrison Katie, a Grade 5 student, is a very caring and responsible individual who naturally excels in academics, leadership, and citizenship. Katie has participated in Silver Birch, Book Lovers Club, Cross Country, Track and Field, House Leagues, Knitting Club, Girls Inc., Ecokids, and Recycling Club. She also has a flare for the arts, playing a piano solo for school concerts, singing in choir at various community events, and being a cast member in our school musical "The Jungle Book". Katie demonstrates leadership on a daily basis. During nutrition breaks, she has volunteered to sell food items, assists in primary classes, and looks after younger students as a bus buddy.
