Lighthouse open house The Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children is hosting an open house on Feb. 29. Founded by Jo Fallon in 1999, it is modeled after The Dougy Centre for Grieving Children and Families in Portland Oregon. The Lighthouse Program provides peer-support groups for children ages three to 12 years, their primary caregivers and teens from ages 13-18 in Halton and Peel. "We're providing them a space in which they can meet others who understand them... so that they come to terms with the death; not that they get over it, but come to terms with it."
