Its annual Toy Tea event, held in late 2011 at the Oakville Club, benefitted four local charities, including: Halton Trauma Centre, Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Services of Halton (SAVIS), Halton Children's Aid Society and the Salvation Army. Approximately 250 youths, aged three to 17, received gifts thanks to the effort. While approximately 1,000 toys, gift cards, and clothing items were gathered on average in the previous three years, this year, approximately 1,200 items were contributed. A raffle raised $520 -- those proceeds are en route to the pediatric ward at the new Oakville hospital.
