In contrast to Option 3, however, the western portion of Glen Abbey is included in a ward entirely north of the QEW. Ward 4 Town and Regional Councillor Allan Elgar called for Option 1 to be further analyzed and revised to introduce Trafalgar Road as the boundary between Wards 5 and 6 and to recognize and maintain the River Oaks community. Ward 2 Councillor Pam Damoff called for Options 2, 3, and 4 to be further analyzed and revised to establish Sixteen Mile Creek as a boundary in Wards 2 and 5 and to relocate the northern boundary of Ward 1 from Upper Middle Road to the QEW. Public meetings will take place March 22 and March 27 at Town Hall. Council hopes to have a new ward configuration by May for use in the 2014 municipal election.
