Teen assaulted in Glen Abbey A 21-year-old Oakville man is facing an assault charge following an altercation in the plaza at 1500 Upper Middle Rd. Thursday, Feb. 16. Police said a 16-year-old Oakville boy was walking through the plaza with some friends around 11 p.m., when he was approached by a man he did not know. "For no apparent reason the suspect headbutted the victim causing a broken nose," said Det.-Sgt. Anthony Odoardi of Halton police. "The victim was taken to hospital by his parents where he was treated and released." Ahmed Abedi, 21, of Oakville has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. The Halton Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident.
