3 In Focus, October, 2011 FPbcTfXbT Wastewise Community Resource Centre celebrated a major milestone on September 11 with a special anniversary celebration at Willow Park Ecology Centre. For the past 20 years, the centre has diverted thousands of tons away from landfills by helping local residents recycle and resell their unwanted items. To mark this big anniversary, Wastewise employees invited the public to Willow Park for an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments, as well as cheque presentations to local organizations and schools.
