Items stolen have included small electronic items, wallets, cash and vehicle parts. On Saturday, Halton officers with the Criminal Investigations Bureau, assisted by uniform patrol officers, searched a Georgetown residence and arrested two men in relation to the thefts. Charged with two counts of use a stolen credit card, possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime (11 counts) breach of probation (13 counts) is Douglas Bell, 26. Charged with possession of property obtained by crime is Chris Ireland, 25. ··· Police are investigating an attempted theft of a Ford from a Nixon Cr. residence late last Monday early Tuesday. The ignition was removed, but the vehicle wasn't stolen. Damage is $350. ··· Approximately $235 worth of liquor was stolen from the beverage cart at the Club at North Halton sometime late Monday or early Tuesday. The cart had been secured in a fenced area and the padlock on the cart was cut to get access to the liquor. Police received a call about 12:55 a.m. from someone who saw two males spray painting words on a building on Market St. One of the males is described as short and was wearing blue jeans and a green tshirt. The other one was taller and wearing a grey-hooded sweatshirt and black jeans. Police arrived and searched the area but could not find the suspects. The words Joy and Pog were spray-painted in black and gold on several items in the Market St., Maple Ave., Mill St., Church St. area including concrete retaining walls, a building, fire hydrant and construction sign. Det. Sgt. Murray Drinkwalter said the words had no significance to police. Police did not have a damage estimate.
