Branch 197 Acton Legion's Remembrance parade and service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5. Parade participants should gather at the olde Hide House parking lot at 10:15 a.m. Beginning at 10:45 a.m., members will march from the parking lot along Mill St. to the cenotaph in front of Trinity United Church. The service begins at 11 a.m. sharp. On Sunday, Nov. 6, Georgetown's Branch 120 will begin its parade at the Georgetown Legion at 2 p.m. and then march from Market St. to Church St. to Main St. to James St. to the cenotaph in Remembrance Park where the service begins at 2:30 p.m. In Glen Williams the parade starts from Glen Williams School at noon and marches west to the cenotaph at Main/ Confederation Sts. The service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Both branches will hold small services (no parades) at 11 a.m. sharp on Remembrance Day, Friday, Nov. 11. Also on Sunday, Nov. 6, the annual Sing Out a Song for Peace concert will be held 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Georgetown Christian Reformed Church, 11611 Trafalgar Road. The program includes music by Georgetown Children's Chorus and Georgetown Choral Society with special speaker holocaust survivor Ann Wynston.
