Sheridan students host Movember Burger and Beer event On Saturday, Nov. 26, a team of Corporate Communications students from Sheridan College will be holding a Movember Burger and Beer fundraising event, 2 p.m., at the Main Street Inn in Georgetown. The event is being held in support of the Movember campaign; a moustache growing charity dedicated to raising awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate cancer. A number of prizes will be auctioned off during the event, with all proceeds going towards the Movember campaign. Auction items include, an overnight stay at The Main Street Inn, a one-year CAA membership, a makeover by Dee Dagher, stylist for the Steven & Chris show, an Inniskillin wine tour, and much more. Tickets are being sold for $40 and include a burger, beer and baked goods. "We are so excited to be part of the Movember campaign," said Cara Galloway, one of the student organizers of the event. "We anticipate the event to be highly successful and look forward to raising awareness and funds for a great cause." Organizers have created an online blog.
