In Focus, December, 2011 8 Halton Hills Remembers Payge Callaghan, Jennifer Parsons, Emma Dacruz and Emily Russell carry the flags for their Acton Guide groups. The Acton and Georgetown branches of the Royal Canadian Legion celebrated Remembrance Day a little bit early with parades and services on November 5 and 6. The weekend of remembrance started in Acton on the Saturday with much of Mill Street East closed down for the parade and service at the Acton cenotaph. The weekend continued on the Sunday with parades and ceremonies at the Glen Williams cenotaph and Georgetown's Remembrance Park. Beautiful sunny weather drew big crowds to all three events as they paid their respects to Canada's soldiers. Lest we forget.
