The peewee AA Hornets won their final two tournament games in shootout fashion to claim their division championship, while the peewee A, midget A and midget AA squads settled for silver medals. The gold was the second in three months for the peewee AA Hornets, who also won the Ottawa Bell Capital Cup in December. Members of the team are Kennedy Choma, STELLAR IN Jennifer Dumount, Sarah Fillier, Brooke SARNIA: Jovanovich, Victoria Klimek, Katie Lynes, The Oakville pee- Victoria MacDonald, Rachel Marmen, Isabelle wee AA Hornets Mastantuono, Courtney Maud, Julia won their division McDonnell, Camryn McKay, Hannah Miller, at the Silver Stick Laura Seeley, Miranda Snable and Emma girls' hockey tour- Thompson. Mike Choma, Mike Jovanovich, nament in Sarnia. Steve Seeley and Mike Foster coach the team, Nicola Davey is the trainer and Jane MacDonald is the manager. Oakville's peewee A club came about as close as you can come to gold, going undefeated in its first five games before dropping the championship game 3-2 to Sarnia in triple overtime. Nicole Cherpacha had both Hornets goals in the loss. Othe rmembers of the peewee A Hornets are Daniella Serrao, Victoria Gironda, Narissa Dhupar, Erica Chan, Megan Rykhoff, Madeline Osgarby, Taylor Kemp, Madeline Hayes, Kate Van Euwyk, Logan Hackett, Drew Gordon, Mary Corby, Megan Foster, Claire Mills, Madeleine Clapham and Sydney Pastorek. Kevin Kemp, Don Cherepacha, Gerry Hackett, Andrea Browne and Renee Serrao coach the team. The Bert Barkley-coached midget A Hornets followed up an opening-game loss with four straight wins to reach the final before dropping a 3-2 decision to Sarnia. Sarah Kozma and Evelyn Guay scored in the final for Oakville, which nearly managed to erase a 3-0 third-period deficit. The Hornets actually thought they had tied the game in the final minute, but their apparent goal was disallowed. Oakville goaltender Paige Saunders stopped more than 100 shots during the tournament and Victoria Albertine was named the Hornets' MVP in the final. Other contributors during the weekend were Annie Nasato, Kate Barkley, Sam Cussen, Caroline Innes, Jamie Godber, Emma Wingrave, Cassidy Feeney, Nathalie Mihalek, Sasha Guay, Sara Habal, Allison Kula and Bridget O'Neill.
