Public invited to The Village's newest release Brookfield Homes is excited to announce the release of six brand new home designs at The Village, an award-winning community in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The public is invited to view the new designs from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 at The Village Presentation Centre, 111 Garrison Village Drive (beside Shoppers Drug Mart and across from Jackson-Triggs Winery). The opening will feature a limited release of semis and singles on 40', 45', 53' and 60' homesites, many with views of JacksonTriggs Winery and beautiful parkettes. The Village is an architecturally protected new urban community master planned by the world-renowned team of town planners and architects at Duany Plater-Zyberk & Co. (www.dpz.com). It is a truly exceptional neighbourhood where every detail of the public realm is thoroughly researched and implemented to ensure that residents and visitors at The Village enjoy the highest quality of life. Headed by Marianne Cusato, the design team for these new houses included architects Geoffrey Mouen and Cristi Pledger. The team reviewed the original master plan created by Duany Plater-Zyberk & Co. and focused much of their attention on the opportunity of a signature triangular park that opens a vista through to Jackson-Triggs Winery and its vineyards. To complement this wonderful public space, the architects ensured the lot and new house types surrounding this park took full advantage of the view with gracious porches. "We're determined to build a new Village worthy of Niagara-on-the-Lake," says John Hawley, president of Traditional Neighbourhood Developments Inc., Brookfield's partner in The Village. The upcoming release will showcase artists' renderings for the new home designs, as well as the site plan for the newest phase. "The Village has been designed to ensure all its residents experience unequalled quality of life. Neighbours quickly become friends," says Sid Kerrigan, President of Brookfield Homes. Brookfield Homes has built more than 25,000 homes in Ontario since 1956. This award-winning builder was recognized as Ontario Builder of the Year by Tarion as well as the Ontario Home Builders' Association. The Village won the Ontario Home Builders' Association Project of the Year in 2008. For more information, call 905-468-0050 or visit BrookfieldTheVillage.com.
