9 In Focus, February, 2012 )BF%HK= IIK><B:MBHG#BGG>K Last summer, after more than 40 years on the job, Jim Ford stepped down as the commissioner of the Kinsmen Girls Softball League. To show their appreciation for his many years of hard work and dedication, the Kinsmen Club of Georgetown hosted a special dinner at the Gellert Centre on January 21 where league alumnae, their parents, former coaches, supporters, friends and family came out to fête the man who kept the league running for so many years. After a tasty meal from McMaster Meats, the crowd celebrated Jim Ford with slideshows, speeches, cards and memories. Thank you for everything, Mr. Ford!
