16 The IFP · Halton Hills, Thursday, March 22, 2012 Dual Art Exhibit opens at Williams Mill Saturday Williams Mills artisan Manny Martins (right) presents a Dual Art Exhibit with Photography beginning this week. Exhibit One: Terra Cotta Journey & Exhibit Two: Inaugural Collection will be held at the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre in Glen Williams, March 21 to April 22, with the Opening Reception on Saturday, March 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. Exhibit One: Terra Cotta Journey is a perception of nature and the changing seasons. Photographer Manny Martins has captured 52 photographic images over a one-year period with one image denoting each week of the year. The Terra Cotta Conservation Area, part of the Credit Valley Conservation, forms the inspiration for this outstanding natural photographic image collection. The images will be on display from March 21 to April 22 in the Mar Blue Photography Studio C in the Yellow Mill Building. Exhibit Two: Inaugural Collection showcases both his fine art photography with a distinctive eclectic style. The large format images printed on canvas will be featured in the Williams Mill Gallery from March 21 to April 1. Registration for youth art courses to begin on Saturday Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre is starting a the new youth arts education program in April, taught by the Centre's professional artisans. "Young artists form an integral part of our art future, and the Williams Mill is an ideal setting for their development," says Sheri Tenaglia, Arts Education Coordinator. The youth art program will start with a variety of classes and workshops to introduce new artists to the non-profit Centre. Courses include life drawing, watercolur, soft pastel, Graffiti to Music workshop, and sock creatures. Online registration for the Youth Art Classes begins on March 24 at www.williamsmill.com.
