MADDOCK, Joseph 'Guy' What a grand life...almost 90 years. Accompanied by his daughters, Guy died peacefully in hospital on January 10, 2012. A man of high moral standards, gentle and loving, who laughed easily and always had a kind twinkle in his eye. Born in Carbonear, Newfoundland, Guy moved to Toronto at the age of 16 to attend business school. He owned a successful brokerage business for over 35 years. Living most of his life in Oakville, Ontario, he moved to Vancouver in 2008. Guy was predeceased by his wife Margaret whom he missed daily. Remembering him lovingly are his children John, Mary (David), Hilde (Char), Kevin (Lynn); Grandchildren Allan (Ali), Nathan (Nicole); and Great-granddaughter Devon Margaret Buckingham. Thank you to all who offered care to this unique man, joking with him and helping him enjoy life to the fullest. An informal celebration of Guy's life will be held on Sunday, January 22, 12 noon, at St. Paul's United Church, 454 Rebecca Street, Oakville, Ontario. To remember Guy please share chocolate with someone you love or make a donation to your neighbourhood United Church or the Alzheimer Society.
