- Description
- The house is likely located in the area of Agerton (7th Line, now Trafalgar Road, and Derry Rd.)
An adult woman and a child sit on the ground in addition to the standing adults and person on the seat of the buggy, but are partially obscured by the fading of the tintype. - Notes
- Compared to other early photographic techniques, tintypes were simple and fast to prepare. A photographer could prepare, expose, develop, and varnish a tintype plate in a few minutes, quickly having it ready for a customer.
Wikepedia notes that the tintype process was invented in 1853 and patented in the United States in 1856 so this helps date the photograph about which nothing is known. - Subject(s)
