The Aquafina MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition is the official youth skills competition of Major League Baseball for players ages 7-14. It provides players at the grassroots level with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual baseball and softball skills. The local round of the competition will take place May 12, marking the official start of the OMBA's 2012 baseball season. Players in four age divisions (7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14) can advance through four levels of competition in the Pitch, Hit & Run competition. The third round of competition (team championships) will be held at major league parks (including the Rogers Centre), and the national finals will take place at the 2012 MLB All-Star Game in Kansas City, Missouri. Individual pitching, hitting and running champions at the local qualifier, along with the all-around champion in each age group, will advance to the sectional level of the competition.
