Student's passion for fashion aids troubled peers By EAMONN MAHER Staff Writer A 16-year-old Georgetown resident is putting her passion for fashion to work to help youths struggling with various forms of mental illness. Kaitlyn Wosik, a Grade 11 Christ the King student, started up an online clothing company last summer and is donating her proceeds to an organization called mindyourmind, a resource centre and website for youths and "emerging adults" who are experiencing problems such as depression, self-harm, anxiety or eating disorders. "I did suffer from depression, so after that I always found an outlet with designing and this is a way to turn it into something that helps people in that situation," she said. "I think that's why this is so important to me because some of my friends have gone through it and I know a lot of people at school have too, but we don't really have anything to help them with that or really talk about it. It's not something you want to discuss when you're going through it."
