More than 500 participants competed at the UTA Challenge, which drew challengers from across Ontario and as far away as Quebec, ranging from novice to advance levels. Anthony Yatco won a pair of gold medals, while Marc Calado, Adama Cayenne, Owen Coleman, Anassya den Ouden, Camille Dossantos, Nick Hoefling, Owen Kelly, Jigme Gyanatsang, Vanessa Malave, Christopher Strudwick and Aidan Wilkins earned one gold each. Silver medals went to Francis Rhee (two), Nick Coleman, Owen Coleman, Nathan den Ouden, Zach Harding, Matheus Krumme, Thomas Lee, Kaitlyn Malave, Kristy Malave, Claire Murphy, Myla Ng, Seham Altehar, Matthew Yatco, Calado, Gyanatsang and Wilkins. Bronze medals were collected by Kai Cayenne, William Paik and Kaitlyn Malave. The OTC rep team was formed last October. The squad featured many different belt levels, with ages ranging from 9-16. Tino and Jamie Dossantos coached the team, assisted by Marc Calado and Julian Dossantos.
