The incident began at 8 a.m., when the victim, an employee at Brewer Van Line Logistics, was working in an office and responded to a knock at the door. Police said a man holding a black handgun confronted the woman, forcibly removing her from the office. Police reported a second man appeared and allegedly struck the woman on the head with a handgun. The employee also reported a third man who was standing nearby talking on a radio. Police said the first two men allegedly assaulted the employee and stole small electronics, her wallet and keys. Following a two-month investigation Halton police have charged two men in connection with this incident. Javar Thomas, 24, of Oakville/Toronto has been charged with robbery, using an imitation firearm while committing a criminal offence, assault causing bodily harm, uttering death threats and unlawful confinement. Thomas is in custody on an unrelated matter and will be brought before a Milton court to answer these charges in the near future, according to police.
