The Georgetown store, located at 315 Guelph Street, recently completed a big renovation project that refreshed and renewed the store's interior. Kase, Jonkman and staff will mark the end of renovations next week with a special grand reopening celebration on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (April 26 to 29). Photo by Andrea Lefebvre Canadian Tire debuts new look for spring By ANDREA LEFEBVRE Advertising Features Writer Spring is a time of renewal flowers emerge from the thawing ground, trees grow fresh new leaves, and a new batch of baby animals make their big debut. It's fitting, then, that Georgetown's Canadian Tire is revealing its new look in this season of new beginnings. Since the beginning of January, the interior of the store has been undergoing extensive renovations to give it a fresh new look and to make it more customer-friendly. Departments have moved, displays have been added and expanded, and the exit has been completely re-oriented to make it easier for customers to carry out larger purchases. The store, which opened at its current Guelph Street location in 1995, has undergone several facelifts over the years. This latest renovation is part of the store's ongoing commitment to creating a positive shopping experience for its customers. "We wanted to better serve our customers," says store owner Tomas Kase. "We needed to refresh and refocus on some of our key Canadian Tire categories, like automotive, hardware and tools." One of the goals of this latest renovation was to recreate an old hardware store feel within the larger store. The tools, which used to be near the automotive department, have been relocated to be with other hardware items like nails, ladders, filtration units, plumbing supplies and paint. With new, larger displays and an expanded assortment of merchandise, the tools and hardware department is a one-stop shop for all your home renovation needs.
