The local club finished 11th overall out of 60 clubs at the meet, which featured more than 600 competitive masters swimmers from across the province. Sylvie Tremblay and Michael Liepner each won four gold for Oakville. Tremblay was first in the women's 50-metre backstroke, 100m backstroke, 50m breaststroke and 100m individual medley, adding a silver in the 100m breast. Liepner won the men's 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 100m individual medley, and earned bronze in the 100m breaststroke. Janice Gibbs earned six more individual medals, including gold in the women's 100m freestyle, 100m individual medley and 200m individual medley. Gibbs' other medals were silvers in the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle and bronze in the 100m breaststroke. Oakville's other individual gold medalists at the meet were Amie Peddle (women's 200m breaststroke) and Gord Hurd (men's 100m backstroke). Peddle added a silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 50m breaststroke, with Hurd notching a third-place finish in the 100m individual medley. Also winning individual medals for Oakville were Erin Doherty (silver and bronze), Suzanne Dickison (two silver, one bronze), Jennifer Agnew (silver), Valerie Scott (one silver, three bronze), Micheal Laing (bronze) and Krzysztof Szarzynski (bronze). In relay action, Oakville won two golds, two silver and a bronze. The gold medals were earned by the mixed 200m medley relay team (Doherty, Peddle, Szarzynski, Laing) and the women's 200m medley relay squad (Valerie Scott, Kendra Olsen, Gibbs, Agnew). Todd Boone, John Shaughnessy, Michael Parker, Robert Jones, Laing, Liepner, Szarzynski and Hurd earned relay silver. Tremblay, Gibbs, Peddle and Doherty collected a relay bronze.
