Beloved husband and best friend for over 64 years to Patricia Bilbrough. Adored father of Lidianne Northwood of Grafton, Catherine (John) Barlow of Barrie, Paul (Suzanne) Beer of Markham and Charles deceased. Proud grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Dr. Michael Beer of Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Budapest, Hungary on March 27th, 1924 to Dr. Paul and Lidia Beer. He immigrated with his family to Canada in 1938, settling in Georgetown, Ontario. He began his life with Patricia on a farm raising dairy cattle and turkeys, but after 10 years he changed professions and became Science Department Head at Georgetown District High School - a job he loved for over 30 years before he retired. He lived an inspiring life of service to his community, coaching youth in soccer, basketball and hockey, and sitting on many local boards including founding member and Board Chair of Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital. He loved the outdoors and was an avid downhill skier, camper, hiker and gardener. His greatest joy in life was his family - nothing he liked more than having his family around him celebrating life's events. He will be deeply missed. A private service for immediate family will be held on Friday June 1st, 2012. Condolences and memories may be forwarded to: paulbeer15@yahoo.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the World Wildlife Federation. BROADBENT, Stephen (Steve) from Georgetown Passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 28th, 2012 at the age of 53. Steve beloved and devoted husband of 31 years to Linda. Proud father of his 3 beautiful daughters; Melanie, Julie and Katie and his (grand)son Aidan his pride and joy. Greatly missed and irreplaceable by his brothers Kelly, Lee, Alan and Wayne, his father William, buddy Jamie and the rest of his entire extended and loving family. Steve has now joined his mother Louisa and older brother Ralph, to look over us and guide us through our days from Heaven. Small dog will protect the garden daddy. Always in our hearts.
