To add to the auditory experience, there will be a visual performance. For the Saturday and Sunday concerts, the chamber group has partnered with Two Sisters Dance Projects for the performance of Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and the concert conductor's own music piece. There will also be a visual art display with works based on the concert's musical themes. "This is an extra concert we're doing and it's also a dance collaboration. It's a multi-media artistic event," said musical director Charles Demuynck. The chamber will perform Demuynck's Ah Voltige Mon Amour. So, while the orchestra performs both musical pieces, members of the professional dance troupe Two Sisters Dance Projects will perform. The two sisters, Christine and Lisa Brkich will choreograph the performance. "We want to do something artistically interesting and they do a great job at Two Sisters. We just felt it would be a very interesting collaboration," Demuynck said of the collaboration. "One (Four Seasons) is a very famous piece that everybody will love and it's interesting to see it danced," Demuynck said. The Brkich sisters said they will have eight dancers, including themselves, perform choreography to the 45-minute piece of Vivaldi's music. "This is more of a contemporary dance with a ballet background because this is classical music," said Lisa. The dancers will tell a story through dance, depicting families and the roles of women. While the Four Seasons dance performance is about family, Ah Voltige Mon Amour is about love. "My piece, it's songs to a poem by the Haitian-Canadian poet Gérard Étienne. They're all about love. It's love songs with the different ups and downs. It's very inspiring poetry." Unlike the Four Seasons, which is performed musically by the entire chamber orchestra, Ah Voltige Mon Amour will be performed by four singers, a pianist and percussionist. Furthermore, a solo dancer will perform the love story. Two violin soloists, Alain Bouvier and Aleksandar Gajic, will join the orchestra for the performance of Four Seasons. Both concerts will take place at the Sheridan College Theatre. Sheridan is located at 1430 Trafalgar Rd. The Saturday concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday performance starts at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors, $15 for students or $10 for children.
