Officer charged A 27-year-old Halton Regional Police Service officer has been charged with mischief in connection with a bizarre incident at a Parkhaven Boulevard condominium Monday. Police said they were called to the condominium complex at 10:30 p.m., after receiving reports of a man throwing objects from a fourth floor balcony. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Chris Peters, 27, of Oakville. Peters, a uniformed constable with the Halton Regional Police Service, has been charged with mischief under $5,000. Peters, who has been with Halton police for three years, was off-duty at the time of the alleged incident and has been suspended from active duty with pay. He will appear in Milton court June 19.
