Maple Grove won all three tyke races (girls, boys and mixed) on the way to claiming the tyke pennant, added two more wins in atom (girls and boys) to earn the atom title and cracked the top four in all bantam races to win the bantam overall crown. New Central's midgets won the girls' and mixed races while finishing second in the boys' race, easily winning the midget title. Other local race champions included Gladys Speers (atom mixed and midget boys), Falgarwood (bantam boys) and Eastview (bantam mixed). Abbey Lane, Montclair, Pilgrim Wood, Sheridan and W.H. Morden also represented Oakville at the meet, which was for runners in Grades 3-6 and featured 16 other schools from across Halton. Below is a list of local top-six finishers at the Lamb meet. Oakville blanked Ajax 1-0, Georgetown 2-0 and Pickering 3-0 in its three roundrobin games, then defeated Weston 4-1 in the semis before blasting Mississauga Croatia 7-0 in the championship game. Jacob Therrien and Aiden Wood both had hat tricks in the final, with Frank Bosco notching Oakville's other goal.
