Gold for OSC U11-A girls SO GOOD AT SOBIL: The Oakville Soccer Club's under-11 A girls' team won the Frank Sobil Spring Classic tournament recently in Oshawa. Oakville Soccer Club's girls' under11 A squad won the championship of the top division at the recent Oshawa Frank Sobil Spring Classic preseason tournament. After beating Ancaster, North Mississauga and Ajax in the preliminary round, Oakville defeated Ottawa in the semis, then edged Whitby in a shootout in the final. Oakville's other two girls' under-11 rep teams also enjoyed a successful tournament, each reaching the semifinal rounds of their respective divisions. Members of the OSC girls' U11 A team are Colleen MacLeod, Nassima Benmessaoud, Anna Satterthwaite, Martina Penic, Jorden Campbell, Mari Young, Isabella Villaflor, Michelle Starkell, Sarah Bird, Jaden Walker, Grace Wade, Emily Sevcik and Isabella Springett.
