Frances Niblock photo non-emergency incidents can be reported online and the public is encouraged to visit our website at www. haltonpolice.ca, for a complete understanding of these reporting provisions. As always, if you have an emergency, call 9-1-1. The Halton Regional Police Service apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused the general public and has been assured `Google' is working towards making the necessary correction. Branch no. 197 Legion news By Sharon Graham P.R.O. Comrades, Well, 2011 now is in the past and here we are in a New Year 2012. I wonder what most of us have done to make a New Year's resolution. (Grin) New Year's Eve was sure a blast and with a sell out crowd every table was filled. It was so nice to see everyone enjoying the evening and dancing the night away. A special thank you goes out to Tony Rouse, the entertainment chair, for organizing the evening. We would also like to thank Kathy Hall for decorating the hall, and Steve Richardson and Connie Bath for organizing the food. Everyone could not wait to ring in the New Year with the Brown's Garage as 2011 comes to a close and a New Year has just begun. If you missed this year's Gala, then you might want to make plans for 2013. Every year gets better and what better way to celebrate the evening, and enjoy a free bus ride home, for local residents. We look forward to seeing everyone next year. The president's Levy was held on January 1. It was filled with entertainment by Jesse and Troy doing karaoke as members of the branch joined in. Their voices were great could they ever sing. I think we are very blessed to have such great talent at the Branch. Membership with the help of the president drew three early bird winners. Their dues will be paid in 2013 by the Branch. Congratulations go out to Tara Service Hymers, Lucy Synnott and John Wagg. Legion Ladies Auxiliary Notes The LA members would like to express their condolences to Eva Cutting's family. Eva was a Life Member of our Auxiliary with 36 years of service.
