Three-day Cultural Festival this weekend in Kerr Village The Carousel of Nations Multicultural Association's (CNMA) 14th annual Cultural Festival will run from June 22-24 in Kerr Village -- as well as in Milton's Victoria Park. The free festival, hosted by the Kerr Village BIA, will feature 12 pavilions representing more than 30 countries all showcasing their unique cultures. "The festival contributes to the social cohesion of the Halton Region community," stated an event press release. "Since 1999, the festival continues to be a successful collaboration among the local ethno-cultural groups, professional and amateur multicultural artists, Halton police, local businesses, and government and corporate sponsors." A kickoff event will take place on Friday, June 22 at the Encore Oakville Mews Cinema, 171 Speers Rd., Unit 25, featuring short films on the different countries represented -- the event will run from 6-9 p.m. On Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., the festival moves to Kerr Village at Kerr Street and Lakeshore Road, and will feature a full day of live musical performances, art displays, a KidsZone, an artists' village tent, a variety of authentic and traditional dishes and refreshments. Milton's Victoria Park will host the festival on Sunday.
