The majority of funding is coming from the Town of Halton Hills and through increased user fees from the HHAUG. However, an additional $2 million is required from the community at large to meet the full cost. "This is not just about ice; it is about providing Halton Hills residents of all ages with increased recreational and community space to meet the growing demand," said Lewis. Both facilities are operating beyond full capacity requiring many residents, teams and programs to go "out of town" for the space they need.
