Sheridan textile students exhibit at Gallery 1313 A number of Sheridan College students, including those from Oakville, are putting on a textile art show at Gallery 1313 in Toronto. The group exhibit is called Potluck. It features works from the graduating class from Sheridan's Crafts and Design, Textiles program. It closes Sunday. It includes works in print, garment construction, quilting, felt sculpture, embroidery and papermaking. The name for the exhibit was inspired by the collaborative nature of craft. The 11 featured artists are Chamila Belleth, Tiffany Canha, Sarah Davies, Mary Desrosiers, Natalie Eldershaw, Brittni Gazendam, KayTor, Keisha Mohammed, Christina Obuch, Laurika Samuels and Francie V. The exhibit is paid for by the efforts of the students who fundraised during their time at school as well as the contributions of Monica Bodirsky, Sheridan professor and advisor to the group, and Mary Desrosiers, acting coordinator of the exhibition. The gallery is located at 1313 Queen St. W. Gallery hours are 1-6 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.
