Mike Gallagher was presented with the medal by Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn at a luncheon last Friday (June 29) following the Gary O'Neill Memorial Golf Tournament in Milton. Created to mark the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth, the commemorative medals are being presented throughout 2012 to individuals who have made a significant contribution to their community, country and internationally on behalf of Canada. "I haven't done any of this on my own," said Gallagher. "It was done with the cooperation of a great many people and with the support of the members of Local 793."
