Wednesday, July 18 Jackie Fox from the Georgetown Hospital Foundation accepts the cheque from members of the Georgetown Choral Society to go towards the Foundation's hospital renovation/expansion campaign. GCS donates $5,140 to Hospital campaign The Georgetown Choral Society has donated $5,140 to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation. The money was raised at the choir's Spring concert Songs From The Heart held in May. Funds were raised through ticket sales, general donations and a silent auction. Choir spokesperson Audrey Laws said, "As a community choir that has been performing in Halton Hills for over 40 years, it was important for us to contribute to what is arguably the most important and largest capital campaign in the community. I want to thank all the members of the choir, the donors of some 120 items to the silent auction, and the enthusiastic overflow audience that came out and made the evening such a fun and successful evening." In receiving the cheque, Jackie Fox, Annual Giving and Special Event Coordinator with the Georgetown Hospital Foundation said, "We are so thankful for community groups such as the Choral Society. They are leaders within our community and making a difference for their family and neighbours. A fundraising effort that resulted in a donation over $5,000 is truly amazing and we cannot thank them enough!"
