About 2:30 a.m. an officer, who was in the parking lot at the Halton Police station on Guelph St., heard what he believed was a collision nearby and went to investigate. The officer found a brown GMC van had collided with a light standard in the mall parking lot and two males standing outside of it looking at the damage. The two males were seen walking away from the vehicle. Police stopped the men to ask about the collision and the men denied any knowledge of it. The officer believed the men were misleading police in an attempt to obstruct the investigation. The van had been stolen earlier from outside of the Mac's store on Delrex Blvd. Charged with obstruct police and possession of property obtained by crime is Christopher Vieira, 21.
