"When you see what's happening with us little guys versus the big guys, Molson and Labatt, they are foreign-owned now and they are cutting back on jobs," Coleman said. Cameron's Brewing Co. Brewmaster Jason Britton said the brewery's packaging line is capable of bottling 100 bottles of beer per minute and 20-30 kegs per hour when the big orders come in. The beer is distributed through the Beer Store, the LCBO, direct delivery and the store at the brewery itself. Chudleigh was impressed by the company's use of unique ingredients, brewing techniques and its subtle ways of keeping customers interested, like having different designs on the underside of their bottle caps. We still have to compete in these areas and we have to do it in a much more creative way than we've done in the past." Some of the ideas brought forward by the PCs to level the playing field included reining in spending with a mandatory public sector wage freeze and allowing businesses and private sector unions to compete for government contracts. Another suggestion involved reducing the cost of doing business by lowering taxes and treating affordable energy as a cornerstone of economic growth.
