School bus safety orientation day Aug. 25 in Oakville Students will soon be heading back to class, so it's time for the annual school bus safety orientation day. Those in charge of transporting children to and from school every day are making sure students are safe when they get on the bus on the first day of school. As the first day of school approaches, the Halton School Bus Safety Committee is working to assist parents and first-time riders to understand the importance of school bus safety.
