More than $40K in merchandise stolen from business Halton police are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect(s) responsible for stealing more than $40,000 worth of merchandise from a Bristol Circle business, Saturday. The incident took place at some time during the night when the suspect(s) arrived at the Power Source Canada facility, located at 2815 Bristol Cir. Police said the suspect(s) targeted a 53-foot trailer that was parked on the property, hooked it up to their own vehicle, and drove away with the trailer and its load. The trailer was carrying 95 WORX lawnmowers and 288 ROCKWELL stands. This is the latest in a string of incidents, which have taken place at truck yards and businesses in Oakville's east end over the summer. On July 18, thieves scaled the fence of a trucking company on Royal Windsor Drive and made off with a tractor-trailer loaded approximately $80,000. While police have said the earlier incidents may be connected, they said it is difficult to relate this latest. "We've had a bit of a rash of these thefts, but we have no suspect information to link this theft to some of the others," said Det. Sgt. Mark Underwood of the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau. "Even the location of the thefts isn't 3 · Friday, August 24, 2012 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.insideHALTON.com really going to help us because those cargotype containers are all found in pretty much that same industrial area." Another theft took place July 4, when culprits broke into another truck yard in the area, but, in this case, were frightened off by security.
