Members of the Coffee Craft Club and the Oakville Retired Women Teachers of Ontario (RWTO) recently made close to 400 pillowcasesundresses and boys' shorts for children in Third World countries. "Just imagining the smiles on the faces of all the little boys and girls that receive these dresses or shorts is our ultimate reward," said Fern Rutherford. "I think that (makes) us to want to continue this project." According to Rutherford, Little Dresses for Africa was the first non-profit organization to make sundresses using pillowcases. RWTO and the Coffee Craft Club were inspired to follow suit after reading a newspaper article on the subject earlier this year. "I thought it would be a fabulous idea for our Coffee Craft Club...everybody started collecting their supplies and this activity was born," said Coffee Craft Club chair Pat DeMille.
