He was rushed to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with back, hip and leg injuries. Oakville man falls from balcony A 34-year-old Oakville man was taken to hospital with minor injuries early Thursday morning, after falling from a third-floor balcony at the Holiday Inn on Argus Road. Police were called to the Holiday Inn at around 3:15 a.m. after receiving a report that a man had allegedly attempted to jump into the hotel's indoor swimming pool from a third-storey balcony, but had instead landed on the pool's deck. Police said the man, who was conscious and able to speak at the scene, denied he had jumped and told police he had simply fallen over the balcony's railing. A friend interviewed by police alleges the victim had been drinking heavily at the time of the accident. Police said they have been unable to determine exactly how the man fell. The man sustained minor injuries to his lower back, hips, left knee and ankle and was taken to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. No charges have been laid at this time.
