Percy will replace outgoing chair Mike Carberry, a long-time HIEC champion, who served as the inaugural chair of HIEC's board of directors in 1989. "Mike Carberry has been a constant presence for as long as I've been with HIEC," said HIEC's Director of Operations Michelle Murray. "His support and guidance has been critical as we've grown programs and launched new initiatives." HIEC's new chair comes as the organization is in a time of renewal. For 2012-13, HIEC is set to launch a new mentorship program funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation as well as continue its efforts to support youth and business with a variety of established online communities, events and initiatives.
