U15 cricket squad wins Toronto title Oakville Cricket Academy has won the Toronto and District Cricket Association under-15 championship in its inaugural season in the Toronto loop. Oakville outscored the Mississauga Ramblers by three runs in the final. Oakville struck for 75 runs off 20 overs for five wickets in its at-bat, and Mississauga finished with 72 runs. "The team showed great strength and resolve and the victory came down to teamwork," said Oakville coach Rue Stephenson. "The bowlers bowled a very steady line and length and gave away no extras. The fielding was also very impressive and this resulted in pressure being built on our opponents. We worked extremely hard and this title is indicative of that." Earlier in the playoffs, Oakville beat Markham Cricket Academy by 46 runs in the quarter-finals and downed Ontario Cricket Academy by 19 runs in the semis.
