Roy was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario. Beloved husband of Edith for nearly 57 years. Loving father to Lesley (Loyd) Nicholson, Diane (Fred) Gage, Eric (Dawn) Hughes, Tyrone (Sandra) Hughes and Niles Hughes. Born in Montreal, he was a dedicated family man and community volunteer. Jack leaves behind his two sons David and Joel, both sources of great pride for him throughout his life. Also mourning his loss are Cyndy (David) and Nancy (Joel) and his three grandchildren, Adam, Rebecca and Carling. He will also be dearly missed by his twin sister Jill in Florida and her family. He enjoyed the opportunity to travel the world with his wife of 54 years Marion (pre-deceased June 8, 2012). Jack achieved significant professional success in the financial sector where he spent the majority of his career. Long time residents of Niagara-on-the-Lake, they had a strong network of close and supportive friends made over the course of time. Thanks to the staff at OTMH who provided a caring and dignified atmosphere for Jack and his family. A private memorial for Jack's life will be held at a later date.
