Research funded by the Society is improving our understanding of breast cancer, in order to find better ways to prevent and treat it. Two recent studies funded by the Society are helping to advance our understanding of breast cancer. In a recent study, researchers uncovered the role of a protein involved in the development of an aggressive type of breast cancer, which may lead to new approaches to treating the disease. And, in a recent clinical trial, researchers uncovered a link between osteoporosis, osteoporosis treatment and breast cancer.
