Several local schools are planning various activities for RAK Day to teach and promote kindness among its student population and community. Kindness coaches will be hosting workshops for students in Grades 1 and 2 at Holy Family Elementary School, while Rotherglen school's Oakville Elementary Campus has made RAK a week-long event where students learned about the day, the value of being kind to others and how to demonstrate it with a wall of written pledges. Local businesses, too, are taking part, including The Oakville Beaver. "We're definitely planning something, but we want to keep it a surprise for all those involved," said Editor-in-Chief Jill Davis.
