www.insideHALTON.com · OAKVILLE BEAVER Thursday, November 15, 2012 · 14 The Christmas Show a good place to kick off the holidays Christmas kicks off this month as The Christmas Show arrives again at Hamilton's Careport Centre Friday Nov. 23 to Sunday, Nov. 25. The show is brimming with Christmas home décor seminars, holiday recipe ideas, food and drink sampling, and lots of shopping. The Christmas Show is the largest show of its kind in the Golden Horseshoe and brings together more than 120 exhibitors under one roof. Boasting unique gift ideas, The Christmas Show is an ideal place to start holiday shopping. While visiting the show, take a break from shopping to sample complimentary wine or beer in the lounge area. Girls' Night Out Wines and Nickel Brook Brewery will be sampling some of this year's flavours for the holiday season. Discover holiday treats and recipes with cooking presentations by Denninger's. Take in a cooking demonstration at the show. Explore the season's newest trends and colours with the dynamic sister duo of Marquis Dream Store. Unwrap the season and get into the holiday spirit as they impart tips and insider expertise on how to dress a tree, mantel and staircase for Christmas. And learn how to make a festive, warm and welcoming entrance at home with tools to update the looks of your urns, wreaths and pillar accents. Be sure to bring the little ones along as Santa Claus himself will be at The Christmas Show all weekend long for photos. Don't forget to bring Christmas wish lists and join the colouring contests (available on The Christmas Show website). Speckle's Art Studio of Oakville invites kids to come and get creative while decorating crafts with assistance from the Girl Guides of Canada. There will be a limited supply each day, so go early and parents must stay to watch their children. The Christmas Show will feature lots of prizes and giveaways, and shopping at the more than 120 festive exhibitors. Tickets to the event cost $10 each and attendees are encouraged to bring a new hat and pair of mittens for The Christmas Show's Holiday Drive with The Rotary Club of Stoney Creek.
