The web page will let residents know about things such as road closures for special events, sidewalk closures for repairs and sports field, park or other town facility closures that have taken place for maintenance or due to severe weather. As soon as new information about service disruptions is published on the Town's website that information is also sent to the RSS feed. Subscribers to the feed will receive this information right on their smart phone, computer or tablet. "Continuously improving communication and customer service benefits everyone," said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton.
