Hundreds of residents were greeted by warm temperatures and fair skies Sunday at George's Square Cenotaph for the Royal Canadian Legion Oakville Branch 114 annual Remembrance Day service. They proudly wore their poppies and erans, active-duty soldiers, police, firefighters, scouts, cadets and others marched up Trafalgar Road from Church and Navy streets. They were met with loud cheers from the crowd as they made their way to the Cenotaph. The ceremony commenced with the singing of O Canada while The Last Post, conducted by Bruce Taylor and The Salvation Army Band, followed.
