A picture RBC Foundation brings art to classrooms Oakville Galleries already offers a wide range of on-site and in-school education programs to elementary school students in Halton Region. Now, the organization will be able to bring some of those programs to select schools at no cost thanks to its new elementary education partner, RBC Foundation. "The benefits of early arts education are vast," said Oakville Galleries director Matthew Hyland, in a news release. "Research has demonstrated that childhood engagement with art is one of the best single indicators of creative thinking capacity, analytical dexterity and leadership skills in adulthood. Regular engagement with art has also been correlated with strong academic performance in children and teen's developing years. Given the ever-shrinking funding for arts education in our public school system, Oakville Galleries is committed to ensuring local students have access to the important benefits afforded by the arts." Oakville Galleries uses professional instructors to offer programs in English and French. It delivers curriculum-based art education that explores visual and media arts as well as technology, environmental studies, literature, science, math and history. However, taking care of your sensitive skin and taking care of your body go hand in hand so follow the steps below to maintain a healthy glow: Get rid of the mascara: Looking cute while working out is important for some, however failing to remove your eye-makeup and mascara can sometimes lead to a mess of dark stream running down your face. This look doesn't work for anyone and, more importantly, isn't great for your skin. Sensitive skin is very vulnerable to irritation so the longer you leave make-up or irritants on your skin, the more likely you are to get a reaction. Try to remove your eye makeup before you join spin class or step on the treadmill. Leave the grime behind: As you work out, whether it is lifting weights, running on the treadmill or spinning on a bike, keep your hands away from your face. Gym equipment often has dirt, sweat, oil and other irritants Advertorial that are not good for your skin so avoid touching your face while working out. If your face feels itchy or you need to wipe it, try using a clean tissue or cleansing wipe instead. Get the post-workout glow: After a great workout your skin can have a natural glow, but don't forget to take care of your skin by removing the sweat. Simple Cleansing Wipes are a great option as you can toss them into your gym bag and bring them out when you need to clean off you don't even need a sink. Water for you and your skin: Hydrating your body while working out is key, however don't forget to hydrate your skin after your workout. Applying a moisturizer after you've cleaned off the sweat is a good way to keep your skin supple and will only make your "just came from the gym" glow last longer.
