The organization will run a speed datingstyle program at its breakfast networking event on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2013. The event takes place at the Sheridan Elder Research Centre located at the Trafalgar Road Oakville campus, 1430 Trafalgar Rd. BA:IEN was established by the research centre as a platform to discuss the changing needs of aging consumers. Business and industry leaders who are interested in the mature market are invited to the event. Members who have attended past networking events have asked for more one-on-one time with each other. "A `speed-dating' format is a great way to learn more about each others' businesses and explore opportunities to collaborate," said BA:IEN co-ordinator Cathryn Oliver. The event starts at 8 a.m. Those interested in attending are asked to e-mail serc@sheridancollege.ca or call 905845-9430, ext. 8617, to reserve a spot. The cost is $15 for non-BA:IEN members to attend.
